LOCAL COURT RULES

JUSTICE COURT RULES OF LAS VEGAS TOWNSHIP (JCRLV)

The Las Vegas Justice Court also has local rules which are applicable only in our court.  These local rules are known as the “Justice Court Rules of Las Vegas Township.”

LAS VEGAS JUSTICE COURT LOCAL RULES OF PRACTICE (LVJCLRP)

The “Las Vegas Justice Court Local Rules of Practice” are a new set of procedural rules that also apply only in the Las Vegas Justice Court.  There are two differently-named sets of local procedural rules because the court is in the process of transitioning from the JCRLV to the LVJCLRP.  During the transition period, both sets of local rules are applicable and consequently it is essential that litigants note the dates on which the rules which are part of the JCRLV and LVJCLRP either become effective, are effective, and/or cease to be effective.  

The LVJCLRP contain the local rules pertaining to Eviction and Small Claims actions.

JUSTICE COURT RULES OF CIVIL PROCEDURE (JCRCP) 

The rules of civil procedure applicable in the Las Vegas Justice Court are known as the “Justice Court Rules of Civil Procedure.” The JCRCP are applicable in every Justice Court in Nevada.
